FOX Sports tips off the college basketball season on Friday (Nov. 9) with an action-packed lineup featuring six men's and women's games televised on a variety of FOX Sports networks.
The special tipoff marathon begins FOX Sports' coverage of over 200 men's and women's games in 2012-13 that will be carried on FOX Sports Southwest, FOX Sports Oklahoma, FOX Sports Plus or FOX College Sports.
The expanded schedule is part of FOX Sports' new third-tier rights agreements with several universities in the Southwest region.
The regional third-tier games will supplement FOX Sports' national telecasts, which include Big 12 women's games, Conference USA men's and women's contests and Pac-12 men's action.
Friday's tipoff coverage begins at noon CT as defending women's national champion Baylor opens its season at home against Lamar. The Baylor men's team follows at 4:00 p.m. CT when the Bears host Lehigh. Both games will be televised on FOX Sports Southwest and FOX Sports Oklahoma.
The action continues on FOX Sports Southwest at 6:00 p.m. CT with TCU hosting Cal Poly followed at 8:00 p.m. with Louisiana Tech traveling to Texas A&M.
In markets televising NBA games on FOX Sports Southwest and FOX Sports Oklahoma, the college basketball games will be carried on FOX Sports Plus, a channel used to simultaneously show multiple events.
FOX College Sports will televise a pair of games at 8:00 p.m. CT. Oklahoma State hosts Cal Davis on FOX College Sports Central. Texas Tech takes on Prairie View A&M on FOX College Sports Atlantic.
FOX College Sports offers three nationally distributed college sports networks -- FCS Pacific, FCS Central and FCS Atlantic – and is available on DirecTV and most major cable companies, including AT&T U-verse, Charter, Comcast, Insight, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS.
