Michigan's recruiting class moved past Ohio State in the Scout.com national rankings with an unexpected addition of four-star running back Dennis Norfleet.

Norfleet, who rushed for 2,033 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior at Detroit King High, had been commitment to Cincinnati since August.

That all changed when he received his dream offer Tuesday from the Wolverines.

It gives Michigan 25 commitments heading into Wednesday, the first day that high-school players can begin signing official letters of intent.

Coach Brady Hoke's first full recruiting class is now ranked behind only Texas and Alabama, according to Scout.com.

Norfleet, who is 5-foot-7, is expected to be used in a versatile role to take advantage of his exceptional speed. That likely will include returning kicks and punts.

Warren De La Salle quarterback Shane Morris, the Wolverines' highly-ranked commitment for the class of 2013, posted the following message on Twitter Wednesday morning:

"Dennis Norfleet is the kid I wanted to play with in college since day one! He is literally the most dynamic football player in the nation!"
