Force not strong during ceremonial first pitch
He may have brought balance to the force, but his fastball needs a little work.
Flanked by an army of storm troopers, a person portraying Darth Vader took the mound on Sunday to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior before the Rays' game against the Mariners in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The crowd of more than 20,000 laughed, then booed, as Vader threw way wide of the plate. Even catcher Jose Lobaton could be seen smirking as he chased after the wild pitch.
Luckily, the pitching improved throughout the afternoon as Seattle's Blake Beaven out-dueled Tampa Bay's Matt Moore for a 2-1 Mariners victory.
