Floyd Mayweather on Pacquiao: 'Winners win and losers have excuses'

Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao by unanimous decision in their highly anticipated fight on Saturday but most of the conversation to follow (aside from gripes about boredom) has centered on the health of Pacquiao's right shoulder.

After winning the richest fight in boxing history, "Money" Mayweather isn't buying it.

When Pacquiao's corner sought to obtain a shot of the anti-inflammatory Toradol for the fighter two hours before the bout, the commission denied it, having no prior notice of any injury.

"We thought at one time we'd postpone the fight, but as the weeks went on it was getting better and I was happy with his performance," Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach said. "I thought the progress was good enough."

Pacquiao will undergo surgery this week to repair a "significant" tear in his rotator cuff. The injury occurred during training, yet Pacquiao's camp did not disclose it on a Nevada Athletic Commission questionnaire submitted the day before the fight.

The failure to make the disclosure may result in disciplinary action from the commission and has also exposed him to a class action lawsuit based on a claim of fraud, which the fighter's attorney deems "frivolous."

Following surgery, Pacquiao will be on the mend for at least four to six months but if he desires a rematch, Mayweather would welcome another payday.
