Florida State, Miami to open season at night

The ACC announced a number of kickoff times for the first few weeks of the college football season, including an 8 p.m. kickoff on Labor Day between Miami and host Louisville.

Both Miami and Florida State will play their home openers on Sept. 6 at night. The Seminoles will host The Citadel at 7:30 p.m., while the Hurricanes host Florida A&M at 7 p.m.

Miami will also host Arkansas State on Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m. and the Hurricanes' Oct. 23 game (a Thursday) at Virginia Tech is set for 7:30 p.m.

Florida State kicks off the season on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. against Oklahoma State at Arlington, Texas.

More game times will be announced once the 2014 season begins.

The ACC will also feature a weekly football game that will air each week on Regional Sports Networks (RSN), including Fox Sports Florida or Sun Sports. The RSN package will have four games in the first three weeks of the season including a doubleheader on Sept. 13 with Georgia Tech hosting Georgia Southern (Noon) and Duke hosting Kansas (3:30 p.m.) and a prime-time exposure on Sept. 6 with Florida State hosting The Citadel (7:30 p.m.). Georgia Tech hosts Wofford on Aug. 30 (12:30 p.m.).

The ACC championship game will again be played in Charlotte, N.C., and will start at either 7:45 p.m. or 8 p.m. on Dec. 6.
