Florida Atlantic manages just 10 points, falls to North Texas

DENTON, Texas (AP) -- Andrew McNulty scored two touchdowns and North Texas snapped a four-game losing streak with a 31-10 victory over Florida Atlantic on Saturday night.
Antoinne Jimmerson rushed for 111 yards on 17 carries and had a 41-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. McNulty threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Smith, and scored on a 4-yard run to give North Texas (3-6, 1-4 Conference USA) a 21-3 halftime lead.
Kenny Buyers' 43-yard interception return set up a 3-yard TD run by Jarrod Lynn to stretch the Mean Green's lead to 31-10 with 3:29 left.
Jaquez Johnson threw a 34-yard touchdown strike to Alex Deleon to pull the Owls within 21-10 with 4:32 left in the third quarter, and finished 14 of 25 for 99 yards. His interception was just the third for Florida Atlantic (3-7, 2-4), which entered the game having thrown just two, the fewest in the nation.
