COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- TCU starter Brandon Finnegan stifled Mississippi on Sunday night in the Horned Frogs' 5-2 victory.

With the win TCU forced a game Monday night to decide which program will advance to a super regional.

Finnegan (4-4) allowed six hits and two earned runs while striking out seven and walking three over 7 1/3 innings. TCU grabbed a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on Derek Odell's two-run home run into the right-field bullpen, and then added to its lead with single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

The second-seeded Horned Frogs (39-20) have won three consecutive games after dropping their regional opener against the third-seeded Rebels (37-25) on Friday. Mississippi suffered its first loss in three games in the regional.

TCU had eliminated top-seeded Texas A&M 10-2 earlier Sunday for the right to take on Mississippi as the last two teams standing in College Station.
