TUCSON, Ariz. – FieldTurf has been chosen as the new surface for Arizona Stadium, the school announced Wednesday. The "Revolution CoolPlay" turf system will be installed to provide for an artificial surface at the renovated stadium and reduce surface temperature.

“We’re excited to have FieldTurf install their product at Arizona Stadium”, said Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne. “The surface they are able to provide will be a great enhancement to our stadium and will benefit our coaches and student-athletes with its cooling system. We’ve been working to upgrade Arizona Stadium, and installing FieldTurf is another step in the right direction.”

According to FieldTurf, CoolPlay was designed to reduce the heat without any reduction in field performance.

“We could not be happier that the University of Arizona has placed their confidence in our Revolution CoolPlay product and our company,” said FieldTurf president Eric Daliere. “We are committed to providing the University of Arizona Wildcat players, fans and administration with a state-of-the-art high performance field they can be proud of for many years to come.”

In addition to Arizona, other Pac-12 programs that play and/or practice on FieldTurf include Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Washington, Washington State and Utah.
