Fasching leads Gophers hockey to overtime win

Head coach Don Lucia picked up the 400th win of his long career in Minnesota, as junior Hudson Fasching scored in overtime to give the Gophers men's hockey team a 3-2 win over Ohio State.
Fasching's goal finished off a Gophers rally that began with a 2-0 Buckeyes lead in the second period, but Minnesota scored a pair of power play goals in the third to even things up.
Freshman Tyler Sheehy scored on a deflection to make it 2-1 Ohio State, before fellow rookie Tommy Novak snapped up a rebound to tie things up at 15:33.
Goaltender Eric Schierhorn made 26 saves on the night, moving to 5-7-0 on the season.
For his part, Lucia becomes the first coach in the program's 95-year history to reach 400 wins.
Now in his 17th season with the team, Lucia now has a 400-209-68 career record with the Gophers.
