Here are 20 whimsical factoids — some positive, some negative — to digest before the Sunday/Monday slate of Week 11 games:
1. Let's open with something short and sweet: In eight career games against NFC East competition, Redskins tailback Alfred Morris has rolled for 100 total yards or one TD seven times.
2. Of his last 17 games at the Superdome, Saints QB Drew Brees has accounted for 300 yards passing and/or three touchdowns a staggering 16 times.
3. The Chiefs defense, which has already notched six outings of 15-plus fantasy points (standard-scoring leagues), hasn't allowed a single passing day of 300 yards this season.
4. Of his last five games, the Redskins' Robert Griffin III has collected 300 total yards and/or three TDs four times. On Sunday, RGIII should reach that threshold against the Eagles — the NFL's 31st-ranked pass defense (307 yards per game).
5. Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson, who ravaged the Seahawks for 193 total yards and two scores last year in Seattle, holds robust averages of 112 total yards and 1.3 TDs in his last three games.
6. San Francisco's remarkably consistent Frank Gore has racked up either 100 total yards or one touchdown in his last seven outings.
As a bonus, of Gore's last two games at the Superdome — including last February's Super Bowl — he has averaged 105 total yards and one score.
7. Texans wideout Andre Johnson (four-game averages: 111 yards) has absurdly collected five touchdowns and 25 targets over a two-week period.
8. There's some trepidation with assigning an elite-level ranking to Philly's DeSean Jackson (54 catches, 903 yards, seven TDs) — even though the Redskins have the NFL's 26th-ranked pass defense and D-Jax rolled for 104 catches and one TD in Week 1 (against Washington).
The cold truth: Jackson has found the end zone just once at home this season.
9. Denver's Demaryius Thomas has averaged 10 targets in his last three outings. Also, this period of five touchdowns stands as the most prolific three-game stretch of his career.
10. Antonio Gates (52 catches, 612 yards, two TDs), who ranks second among NFL tight ends in targets (73), has crossed the PPR-friendly threshold of six receptions, 90 yards and/or one touchdown in each of his previous six road games.
11. Broncos QB Peyton Manning has racked up either 300 yards passing or three TDs in 11 of his last 12 outings — including Week 17 against Kansas City last December.
12. Week 9 marked the first time all season that Jamaal Charles missed the threshold of 100 total yards or one touchdown — by four measly yards.
One more note: Charles (1,114 total yards, eight TDs) has amassed 100 total yards and/or one touchdown in five of his last six games against the Broncos.
13. Seahawks tailback Marshawn Lynch has been a consistent wrecking ball at CenturyLink Field. Of his last nine home games, dating back to last year, Skittles boasts averages of 130.3 total yards and 1.3 TDs.
14. Carolina's Cam Newton has tallied multiple touchdowns in his last six games against AFC foes. He has also averaged 261 total yards and 2.2 TDs in his last six home outings.
15. For what it's worth, Jets tailback Chris Ivory (241 total yards, one TD for Weeks 7 and 9) hasn't rushed for more than 74 yards — on the road — in three seasons .
16. Detroit's Calvin Johnson, the top-ranked receiver in standard-scoring leagues, has averages of 10 catches, 189 yards and 1.7 touchdowns in his last three games.
17. There's a bad news/good news proposition with the Minnesota defense:
The group has already allowed eight touchdown catches to tight ends this season (Jordan Cameron, Martellus Bennett, Joseph Fauria, Jason Witten, Jordan Reed) ... but only two since Week 4.
18. Patriots tailback Stevan Ridley (574 total yards) has notched all six of his seasonal touchdowns in the last four games.
Here's something else to celebrate: Of his 14 career outings of 16 or more touches, Ridley holds robust averages of 99.2 total yards and one TD.
19. Of his last five games, Bears wideout Brandon Marshall has four outings of 75 or more yards, four games of double-digit targets and five touchdowns.
In other words, it likely doesn't matter who starts at QB on Sunday — Jay Cutler or Josh McCown.
And last but not least ...
20. Giants wideout Victor Cruz has enjoyed 18 games of double-digit targets in his brief career — but none against NFC North clubs.
In fact, of his last five outings against that division, Cruz has averaged a pedestrian five catches for 50 yards and 0.2 TDs.
