Studs:
One day, two games, two home runs. That was Coghlan’s Tuesday. For a player who is only owned in 1.3 percent of FOXSports.com leagues, he’s had a tremendous seven days. In the leadoff spot for the Cubs, Coghlan has scored 10 runs and also swiped one base.
Hunter’s six-game hitting streak is nice, but it’s his 13 base knocks in those games that gets him on this list. Batting in front of Miguel Cabrera and J.D. Martinez doesn’t hurt either.
Typically, Ross struggles on the road. This season, he’s has a 4.05 ERA away from Petco and a 2.08 ERA at home. However, Ross was able to calm the Colorado bats at Coors Field, going six strong innings and only allowed two earned runs. That makes four straight starts with two earned runs or fewer. Before the game against the Rockies, Ross pitched a complete game shutout versus Cincinnati.

Duds:
Sure, Sandoval had to be taken for x-rays after getting hit by a pitch on Saturday, but his struggles began last Wednesday. One hit in 15 ABs is not something that makes fantasy owners happy. Sandoval continues to struggle against left-handed pitchers (.202 this season). Before the All-Star break, the Giants will face two more southpaw starters: Scott Kazmir and Wade Miley.
La Potencia is another guy who could use some rest from the midsummer classic. He is already battling hamstring injuries and hasn’t hit a home run since June 19th. The remaining probables the Athletics will face before the All-Star break looks defeating: Matt Cain, Tim Hudson, Felix Hernandez, Taijuan Walker, and Hisashi Iwakuma. Luckily, for Cespedes, they are all right-handed. Cespedes is batting .273 against righties (.221 vs. lefties).
The Rays torched Sanchez for seven runs on six hits last Saturday. Sanchez even walked four batters. Thankfully, for Sanchez, the Royals are next on the schedule. In six career starts against Kansas City, Sanchez is 4-2 with a 1.04 ERA.
