Fantastic Style wins Great Lady M. Stakes for Bob Baffert

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) Fantastic Style won the $200,750 Great Lady M. Stakes by 3 1/2 lengths Saturday at Los Alamitos, giving Triple Crown-winning trainer Bob Baffert a sweep of the Grade 2 stakes at the track's brief summer meet.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Fantastic Style ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.78 and paid $7, $4.60 and $3.40 as the 5-2 second choice in the eight-horse field. The 3-year-old filly was making her first start against older horses.
Last weekend, Baffert won the $350,000 Los Alamitos Derby with Gimme Da Lute.
Living The Life returned $7.40 and $4.60 at 10-1 odds, while 13-10 favorite Sunday Rules was another 3 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $2.80 to show in her graded stakes debut.
Fantastic Style has four wins in six career starts and earnings of $272,000 for owner Kaleem Shah.
She had been on the lead in all of her previous starts before coming from behind Saturday.
''My filly has speed, but I didn't want to give her too much to do early,'' Bejarano said. ''When I saw (Amaranth and Sunday Rules) dueling up front, I just let her settle and she gave me a real nice finish.''
