Exaggerator wins Saratoga Special

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) Exaggerator surged past Saratoga Mischief in the deep stretch and won the 110th running of the Grade 2 $200,000 Saratoga Special by three-quarters of a length Sunday.
Ridden by Junior Alvarado and trained by Keith Desormeaux, the 2-year-old son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16.39 over the fast main track at Saratoga Race Course.
Exaggerator paid $11.40, $4.10 and $2.60 for his second victory in three career starts. He earned $120,000 to push his total to $163,120.
Saratoga Mischief returned $2.80 and $2.10, and Hammers Vision paid $2.80 to show.
