Ex-MU star Hayward traded to Houston

Lazar Hayward is about to suit up for his third team in just his third NBA season.
In a trade announced by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night, the former Marquette star is headed to Houston as part of a trade that will send Oklahoma City’s James Harden to the Rockets.
Along with Harden and Hayward, the Thunder will send forward Cole Aldridge and guard Daquan Cook to Houston in exchange for guard Kevin Martin, guard Jeremy Lamb, two future first round draft picks and a future second round pick.
After finishing as the second leading scorer in Marquette history, Hayward was drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 30th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Shortly after being selected, Hayward was traded to Minnesota where he averaged 3.8 points per game in just 10 minutes per game.
Following the season, Hayward was dealt to Oklahoma City where he played even less.
Averaging just 5.4 minutes per game in 26 games for the NBA’s Western Conference champions, Hayward averaged just 1.4 points per game.
