Evening Show pulls upset in Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) Evening Show won the battle of long shots Thursday, edging Agawa by a nose in the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Evening Show, 15-1, eked out the victory after dueling Agawa, 21-1, through the final furlong. The 6-year-old trained by Steve Klesaris snapped an 11-race losing streak with her fourth win in 16 starts.
Angel Arroyo was aboard for the mile in 1:39.21.
Evening Show paid $33.40, $16 and $15.80. Agawa returned $17.60 and $21.60 while Lunar Surge paid $7.30 to show.

Wavell Avenue, the 1-5 favorite, ran fourth.
