TALLINN, Estonia (AP) The Estonian Athletics Association says it has temporarily suspended Nikolai Vedehin after the IAAF sanctioned the former 1,500-meter national champion for doping.
The organization says the 29-year-old Vedehin tested positive for the banned stimulant Trimetazidine in an out-of-competition test in Kenya in February.
The track association says Vedehin has admitted to taking the stimulant but says he didn't know it was prohibited in a non-competition period.
