Entire high school football team kneels for national anthem

The national anthem protest started by Colin Kaepernick last month has spread across the NFL and has now made its way to high school sports. Garfield High School, located in Seattle, took a stand against "social injustices" before a game against West Seattle High School. A few West Seattle players took a knee during the national anthem before last week's game, according to the Seattle Times, and on Friday the entire Garfield team dropped to one knee for the ceremony.

The Mission High School football team in San Francisco also knelt in solidarity last weekend. A number of NFL players and teams have confirmed that they will continue their protests this weekend, and the Eagles have announced they have planned a symbolic gesture before Monday night's game against Chicago.
