NEW DELHI (AP) England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bat first against Afghanistan in their World Twenty20 Group 1 game on Wednesday.

England top-order batsman Alex Hales was out due to a stiff back with James Vince taking his place. In another change, pace bowler Liam Plunket came in for Reece Topley.

Afghanistan made one change, bringing in wicketkeeper Shafiqullah Shafaq for Dawlat Zadran.

England has one win from two games. It lost its first Super 10 game against the West Indies by six wickets but chased a huge target of 230 against South Africa, the highest successful chase at the World Twenty20.
