Easley, Marzilli, Bradley win August minor-league honors

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks named Triple-A Reno catcher Ed Easley and Single-A Visalia infielder Evan Marzilli the organization’s Minor League Players of the Month for August. Double-A Mobile right-handed pitcher Archie Bradley is August's Pitcher of the Month.
Easley, 27, hit safely in 17 of 23 games with a .402 average, two home runs, 15 RBI and 14 runs scored in August for the Aces. His batting average led all Triple-A players and tied for second among all Minor Leaguers in August.
Marzilli, 22, hit .333 with five doubles, three triples, three home runs, 23 RBI and 14 runs scored in 28 games in August for the Rawhide. He began the month with a 13-game hitting streak and had a five-hit, five-RBI game on Aug. 18.
Bradley, 21, went 6-0 with a 1.24 ERA in 36.1 innings. He struck out 36 and gave up two runs or fewer in each of six starts. He has 14 victories on the season at two levels, with 162 strikeouts.
