Sunday was indeed a fun day for Dustin Johnson.

Johnson (66-66-64-71=267) picked up his 13th career PGA Tour victory when he won the four-day Genesis Open at Riviera.

It was the third Top 10 finish for Johnson in only five events played this season.

As an added bonus, Johnson's win vaulted him to No. 1 in the world rankings, a spot previously held by Jason Day for the past 47 weeks.

"He deserves it because he's been playing great golf," Day said.

Having to finish Saturday's third round early on Sunday due to torrential rains, Johnson entered the final round Sunday afternoon riding a streak of 49 straight holes without a bogey. Johnson's streak would end on hole No. 9 of the final round but by then he had already built an insurmountable lead over the field.

"I didn't finish the last 10 holes the way I'd like to, but I had a pretty good lead. I was on cruise control," Johnson said.
