The Ducks made three moves on Tuesday, dealing forward Dustin Penner to the Capitals, goalie Viktor Fasth to the Oilers and adding defenseman Stephane Robidas from the Stars.
Penner, a 10-year NHL veteran, played 49 games for the Ducks and recorded 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists). He was dealt to Washington for Anaheim's fourth-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
In his first official act as a Captial, Penner reached out to President Obama for some housing advice.

Penner, who won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks (2007) and Kings (2012), has appeared in 572 career NHL games with 307 points.
"It's unfortunate for Dustin. He worked hard and played hard here," Ducks GM Bob Murray said. "I wish him nothing but the best."
In exchange for Fasth, who joined the Ducks in 2012, Anaheim received the Oilers' fifth-round pick in 2014 and third-round pick in 2015. In five games this season, Fasth was 2-2 with 131 saves.

"Viktor is a class act and a great guy. He battled to get back," Murray said. "You watched Andersen play. I don't need to say anything else. You've got Jonas Hiller. That had to be cleaned up."
The Ducks also added tough D-man Robidas, 37, from Dallas in exchange for a conditional fouth-round pick in the 2014 draft. Robidas has 246 points in 871 career games.
