Ducks recall D Nate Guenin from Syracuse

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Nate Guenin from the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
 
Guenin, 29 (12/10/82), has appeared in 10 contests with Anaheim this season, scoring one goal (1-0=1) with a +1 rating and six penalty minutes (PIM). Acquired from Columbus in exchange for Trevor Smith on Jan. 4, 2011, Guenin has also played 27 games for Syracuse this year, collecting 0-5=5 points with 16 PIM.
 
Originally selected by the New York Rangers in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Guenin has appeared in 27 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Anaheim, scoring 1-2=3 points with 14 PIM. In 375 career AHL games, Guenin has collected 14-69=83 points with a +22 rating and 512 PIM.
