Dolphins sign defensive back Walt Aikens to deal

The Miami Dolphins inked defensive back Walt Aikens to a contract, the team announced Saturday.
Miami's fourth-round selection (125th overall) in 2014, Aikens previously suited up for the University of Illinois and Liberty University. As a member of the Flames, he started in 31 of 34 games, recording 162 tackles, seven interceptions, three forced fumbles and two sacks.
Aikens becomes the fifth of the Dolphins' eight draft picks to sign with the franchise.
Tight end Arthur Lynch agreed to a deal Thursday, while Matt Hazel, Jordan Tripp and Terrence Fede signed Friday.
Miami has yet to get its top three picks -- offensive lineman Ja'Wuan James, receiver Jarvis Landry and offensive lineman Billy Turner -- under contract.
The Dolphins conducted their second day of rookie mini camp on Saturday. All picks have taken part in team activities regardless of contract situation.
