Diversion tactic No. 34635: The somersaulting field crasher

A pair of field crashers disrupted the sixth inning of St. Louis' chaotic series opener against Chicago.
One flipped over home plate -- a somersault, some called it -- as he charted his course across the field at Busch Stadium.

Cardinals fans took to Twitter to express their amusement at the interlopers' antics, even dubbing one the "Rally Streaker" when St. Louis' offensive luck seemed to turn later in the same inning.
Of all the nights to give up my tickets, I picked the game with the grand slam and the streaker. @BirdsOnTheBat13 @Cardinals

8-6! They're still in this! Now all we need is another rally streaker! #Cardinals

With the Cardinals pulling ahead to lead and then beat the Cubs 10-9 soon after -- a dramatic shift from the game's early innings, when Chicago's offense took off in a big way -- this could be the start of a troubling trend.
