QUEBEC CITY (AP) Philippe Desrosiers made 27 saves and the Rimouski Oceanic beat the host Quebec Remparts 4-0 on Wednesday night to stave off elimination in the Memorial Cup and force a tiebreaker game.
Michael Joly had a goal and three assists, and Justin Samson and Chris Clapperton also scored for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion Oceanic.
The Oceanic (1-2) and Remparts (1-2) will play Thursday night for a semifinal spot Friday night against the Western Hockey League champion Kelowna Rockets (1-2). The semifinal winner will face the Ontario Hockey League champion Oshawa Generals (3-0) in the final Sunday.
