Desert Thief rallies to win feature at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Desert Thief rallied to win the $58,000 feature for older fillies and mares bred in California by 1 3/4 lengths Thursday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Joe Talamo, Desert Thief ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16.64 and paid $8, $4 and $2.80.
Zuzu's Petals returned $7.20 and $4.60, while Parasail was another three lengths back in third and paid $5.40 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Desert Thief's career earnings to $170,946, with four wins in 21 starts for trainer and co-owner Bill Spawr.

The 4-year-old filly had been reclaimed in August for $32,000.
