An American daredevil danced with death in China, walking across a slackline more than a mile above a canyon floor.
New Hampshire native Dean Potter made the 130-foot crossing 5,900 feet above the floor of the Enshi Grand Canyon in about two minutes Sunday, Sky News reported.
Footage showed him barefoot and wearing a large set of headphones as he carried out the feat without any safety line or net.
Potter, 40, is also known as a rock climber and BASE jumper.

A "slackline" is considered more challenging than a conventional tightrope as the line is not completely taut, leaving it susceptible to bouncing and stretching.
