D-backs recall Skaggs, Roe

PHOENIX – The Diamondbacks recalled right-handed pitcher Chaz Roe and left-handed pitcher Tyler Skaggs from Triple-A Reno on Monday, placed outfielder Cody Ross on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right hip and optioned pitcher Zeke Spruill to Reno.
Roe, 26, was 0-1 with eight saves and a 1.21 ERA in 23 relief appearances with Double-A Mobile and Reno this season. He has appeared in four games over two stints with the D-backs, going 1-0 with a 5.79 ERA.
Skaggs, 22, has combined to go 6-7 with a 4.16 ERA in 16 games with Single-A Visalia and Reno in 2013. In seven starts with the D-backs, he is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA.
Ross, 32, suffered a dislocated right hip in the first inning of Sunday's loss to the Mets. He is hitting .278 with eight home runs in 94 games.
Spruill, 23, was the losing pitcher in Sunday's game. He is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA in six games, including two starts.
