The Diamondbacks placed J.J. Putz on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a dislocated finger on his right hand and called up reliever Chaz Roe from Triple-A Reno to take his place on the roster. Putz suffered the injury Friday while trying to field a ground ball in the seventh inning of an eventual 4-3 loss to the Phillies.

The 36-year-old Putz had allowed just one earned run in his last 19 appearances and is 3-1 with six saves and a 2.43 ERA in 35 appearances this season.

Roe, 26, is 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA in five appearances over three stints with the D-backs this season. He is also 0-1 with eight saves and a 1.11 ERA in 25 combined appearances with Double-A Mobile and Reno this year.
