D-backs call up Campana, return Skaggs to Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled outfielder Tony Campana from Triple-A Reno and optioned left-handed pitcher Tyler Skaggs to Reno.

Campana, 27, was hitting .292 with one home run, 29 RBI and 32 stolen bases in 101 games with the Aces in 2013. He's played in two games this season with the D-backs, going 3 for 10 with two steals. With Cody Ross' season-ending hip injury, he'll fill the role of reserve outfielder, pinch-hitter and pinch-runner for manager Kirk Gibson.

Skaggs, 22, in 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA in seven starts with the Diamondbacks.
