Critter close call: Squirrel almost gets flattened by Kevin Harvick (VIDEO)

A squirrel made a very poor decision at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday night.

Take a look at Kevin Harvick's on-track close encounter with a runaway rodent. Initally, Harvick thinks a cat has gotten loose at AMS, but after further review it is indeed a squirrel scampering across the speedway ... during the race.

Luckily, the furry fellow made it across in time and lived to see another day.
