Craig Sager has bet $1000 on Cubs to win the World Series every year since 1981

Craig Sager, lifelong Cubs fan and Batavia, Ill. native, has bet on the Cubs to win the World Series for the last 35 years.
This year, we think he might be cashing out.
Sager’s son posted an excerpt from his father’s upcoming book, Living Out Loud, revealing the annual hedge on the current world champions (still weird to hear it, right?)
Congrats to the @Cubs and my Dad for finally being able to cash in after 35 years. #FlyTheW #LivingOutLoud pic.twitter.com/LgpVYMujtJ

Sager, 65, continues to fight leukemia. He caught the epic Game 7 on Wednesday.
Just two Cubs fans celebrating a successful procedure, a birthday & a WORLD SERIES in the same day!!!! #SagerStrong #ThankYouCubs pic.twitter.com/zvWU7XoDS8
