Coyotes recall Turris, Schlemko from San Antonio

GLENDALE -- The Phoenix Coyotes recalled center Kyle Turris and defenseman David Schlemko from the team's AHL affiliate in San Antonio on Tuesday.
Both Turris and Schlemko will be available for the Coyotes' game Tuesday night against the Flyers in Philadelphia.
In 46 games with the Coyotes this season, the 6-foot-1, 185 pound Turris has recorded nine goals and nine assists. Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said Turris, the No. 3 pick in the 2007 NHL draft, was sent down to clear a roster spot for defensive help after the injuries of Ed Jovanovski and Adrian Aucoin.
The 6-foot-1, 201-pound Schlemko has played 25 games with the Coyotes this season, registering five assists and 18 penalty minutes. Schlemko will help fill the hole vacated by Jovanovski, who underwent surgery late last week for a broken orbital bone and will be out indefinitely.
