Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Tuesday morning that middle linebacker Sean Lee will return this week from his hamstring injury.
Lee, who has missed the last two games, was given a three-to-four week timetable to return after he suffered the setback in New Orleans on Nov. 10.
Jones passed along that news during his weekly radio interview on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. Jones wasn't as optimistic when asked about cornerback Morris Claiborne who is also dealing with a hamstring injury. Jones said Claiborne is questionable to return in time for next Monday's game in Chicago.
Lee leads the team in interceptions (4) and is second in tackles (93). The 27-year-old is currently ranked as the sixth-best inside linebacker by Pro Football Focus, trailing only San Francisco's Patrick Willis, Detroit's Stephen Tulloch, Kansas City's Derrick Johnson, New England's Brandon Spikes and San Francisco's NaVorro Bowman.
