Morris Claiborne said he hasn't had any concussion symptoms since Thursday and he expects to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
The Cowboys rookie cornerback suffered the brain injury after colliding with teammate Danny McCray during a 20-19 victory at Cincinnati on Dec. 9. Claiborne's helmet flew off after the tackle and he needed stitches to close a cut on his lip.
Claiborne, who didn't return to the game, had dizzy spells during Thursday's practice and the Cowboys training staff elected to hold him out of Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I tested it before the game, but we still thought it was a better idea to try to sit this one out," Claiborne said Monday. "I was still having symptoms later on in the week and we just wanted to be (more) safe than sorry."
