Could Francoeur Switch to Football?

History seems to be repeating itself in regards to Jeff Francoeur.

Just as the Braves gave the home-grown right fielder perhaps too
long to work out his problems at the plate before giving up on him last
summer, so now it seems that his new team, the New York Mets, are also
considering doing so.

Playing in the New York market, it's impossible for a player to hide
and the first call I saw for Francoeur's ouster came a few weeks ago in
a column from an ESPNNewYork.com writer who suggested that Mets manager
