On Friday, we reported that Cleveland State has suspended assistant coach Jermaine Kimbrough one game for his tweets criticizing the officials after the Vikings lost narrowly at No. 3 Kentucky last Monday night.

While the suspension is warranted based on Horizon League rules, so is Kimbrough's comment to the referees -- "let the kids play".

This story generated quite a bit of reaction from our readers, including our 'Comment of the Day', from Frank Hamrick:

Games are much more fun now. No longer are the kids forcing us to watch Brawl Ball. At last we can start seeing what true basketball is supposed to look like. It was never designed to be a game of brute force - but rather to be one of finesse and athleticism. Refs will have to call more fouls until kids learn how to truly play basketball again. Meanwhile - the refs definitely were one-sided in the UK-CS game. It would have been comical if it wasn't so wrong!

More power to the Coaches who asked the refs to get the game back to true basketball. But I applaud the assistant coach for having the guts to stand up for one-sided calling!

We are thankful to have you, Frank, both as a reader -- and commenter. Happy Thanksgiving!
