Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation presents 'Lady Jackets Holiday Auction'
COLUMBUS, OH – In celebration of the season, the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation presents the “Lady Jackets Holiday Auction,” a signature event during which the wives and girlfriends of players, coaches and team personnel offer auction packages highlighted by unique player experiences with some on the ice and others out on the town. The fundraiser, which runs December 5-10, will benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation’s mission to support local youth health and wellness organizations.
Highlights of auction experiences include the following:
- Wine tasting and four-course dinner with Nick & Janelle Foligno and Scott Hartnell & fiancée Katie at The Wine Bistro in Upper Arlington
- Youth hockey practice visit by Sam Gagner & Boone Jenner
- Sunday brunch and pedal wagon excursion in the Short North with Brandon & Brenna Dubinsky and Cam Atkinson & fiancée Natalie
- Cooking class with David & Valerie Savard at Sur La Table at Easton Town Center
- Fly-fishing trip with Curtis McElhinney, planned by Mad River Outfitters
- Kids’ stick & puck session and Papa John’s pizza party with Matt Calvert & Josh Anderson at the OhioHealth Ice Haus
- Private hockey lesson or team practice at Nationwide Arena under the direction of the Jackets’ assistant coaches (includes video keepsake and tour of Blue Jackets dressing room)
- Round of golf with Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen at Double Eagle Club
Additionally, a private kids-only skating party and autograph session at the OhioHealth Ice Haus featuring multiple Blue Jackets (Scott Harrington, Seth Jones, William Karlsson, Ryan Murray, Markus Nutivaara, Dalton Prout, Lukas Sedlak and Alexander Wennberg scheduled to appear) will be available as an exclusive ‘buy now’ experience. The general package is $100 with a limited number of VIP tickets, priced at $150, that include individual photos with the full group of players in the team’s dressing room.
Fans may also buy raffle tickets, priced at $10, for the chance to win a collection of items from Zach Werenski. The package includes autographed Blue Jackets apparel, a PS4 NHL17 video game, a $50 gift card to Lindey’s, tickets to the OSU vs. Michigan hockey game and CBJ game tickets with a postgame meet & greet with Zach.
The Jackets’ training staff assembled a “pack your bags” package featuring a variety of CBJ gear to wear at games both at home and on the road. The collection include tickets for multiple home games as well as tickets to see the Jackets in New York (vs. Rangers), Nashville, Pittsburgh, Detroit, New Jersey and Las Vegas (2017-18 season).
Other auction packages include a Florida road trip from Jack Johnson, and game-used gear with postgame meet & greet opportunities from Sergei Bobrovsky and Brandon Saad.
The auction and raffle begins with tonight’s home game vs. the Arizona Coyotes and runs through the second intermission of the Saturday, December 10 game against the New York Islanders. The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Arizona Coyotes. Game time is 7 p.m. ET.
