Police in Denver arrested a 34-year-old high school running coach on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child.
Oscar Alejandro Ponce is facing sex assault charges relating to his position as a coach, KDVR reported.
Ponce was an All-American and six-time Big 12 running representative while studying at the University of Colorado-Boulder, according to Runningtimes.com.
In a 2009 interview with Running Times, he said, "I love coaching. There is nothing better than motivating people to better themselves."

Police did not release further details but called for any other victims to contact the authorities.
