Clemson opens its 2010 season Saturday as a heavy favorite against North Texas.
No surprise there given the fact the Mean Green struggled to win two game last year, 19 starters are back this season, including one of the top rushers in the country from a year ago in Lance Dunbar.
Head coach Dabo Swinney said this week that's not his only concern either.
"There's a lot of unknowns with North Texas," Swinney said. "If you study them a little bit - they had four straight conference titles from 2001-04. There is tradition there and they have resources. They have junior college guys sprinkled throughout the team so there are some unknowns there.
"And when you study them from last year, the first thing you look at is there record, and it's not very good, but of their losses six of them were by a total of 24 points and four of those they had the lead in the fourth quarter. What that tells me is that this is a bunch that is capable."
Making matters more complex is the fact UNT has a new offensive coordinator this season, former South Florida assistant Mike Canales.
Clemson defensive coordinator Kevin Steele said that makes a game like this even more dangerous.
