Clippers star guard Chris Paul has been named the 2013 Sportsman of the Year by the LA Sports Council and will be honored at the LA Sports Awards on March 5 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Paul, currently recovering from a seperated right shoulder, led the Clippers to a 56-26 regular-season mark in 2012-13 -- the best in franchise history -- and led the NBA in steals while also earning NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player accolades.
CP3 was elected president of the NBA Players Association in Aug. of 2013.
The star-studded awards dinner and gala will be televised March 14 on Prime Ticket following Clippers-Jazz.
The ceremony will also feature the presentation of the Sportswoman, Coach and Sports Executive of the Year honors.
Beginning on Friday, fans can help rank the overall greatest LA sports moments for 2013.
