Chris Paul impresses with double-double in All-Star Game as West wins

Chris Paul had another All-Star Game to remember.
Paul, a reserve for the West, had 12 points, 15 assists and six rebounds as the West beat the East, 163-158, on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
Paul's 15 assists were an All-Star best on Sunday, and he has the best assist average in the history of the All-Star Game.
He was playing in his eighth consecutive All-Star game. In 2013, he was named MVP of the All-Star Game.
Paul made plenty of his assists on alleyoop passes to Russell Westbrook, who won MVP honors with 41 points. In the first half, he stole the ball from Jimmy Butler and threw up an alleyoop pass for Westbrook, who dunked it to give the West a 60-42 lead.
The East would get back in the game, and Paul was on the court for the game's defining moments, late, too. He made a jumper to put the West up 155-48.

The West held on to win.
While there wasn't much defense played -- and there never usually is -- Paul took some heat from New York fans when he was stalling near midcourt trying to run out the clock with 25 seconds left. When Paul quickly made a move to the basket, all was well again.
Blake Griffin also made the All-Star Game as he was voted in a starter by fans, but he had surgery almost one week ago to remove a staph infection from his right elbow and didn't make the All-Star weekend. J.J. Redick participated in the 3-point shooting contest but got knocked out in the first round.
There was much fun to be had, too.

Chris Paul donned his mustache and played his role as twin brother, Cliff, for All State activities over the weekend. He got to hang with celebrities, and his son, Chris Paul, got to meet President Bill Clinton, who sat courtside for the game.
Chris Paul's wife, Jada, posted a picture of little Chris and President Clinton on Instagram with this caption: "This kid has NO idea how major this is!"
His family, as usual, joined him on the trip.
The Clippers play their first post All-Star break game Thursday against San Antonio at Staples Center.
