Shin-Soo Choo is expected to return to the lineup Monday after X-rays on his left thumb came back negative.
"That eased my mind," Choo said of the X-rays coming back clean. "Was worried." The outfielder hurt the thumb while diving headfirst into first base attempting to beat out an infield single in the ninth inning on Friday.
FOX Sports MLB Insider tweeted that Reds GM Walt Jocketty told him on Saturday night that Choo's thumb is "fine" and that he "should be able to play soon".
Choo is hitting .283/.423/.462 with 21 home runs, 18 stolen bases and 105 runs scored in 148 games this season.
