Indians' outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Monday morning in Sheffield Lake, Ohio.

Choo, who bats third in the lineup, is expected to play tonight when the Indians begin a six-game West Coast swing in Oakland.

"We are aware of the incident with Shin-Soo Choo and have spoken to him about it," Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said in a statement. "The Indians organization takes these issues very seriously and we are disappointed in the matter."

Choo is batting .250 with 15 RBI and four home runs for the Indians, who are 19-8 and in first place in the AL Central. He also has three doubles and scored 15 runs.

The story was first reported by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Choo is the second member of the Indians and sixth major leaguer to be cited for a possible DUI this year. Tribe outfielder Austin Kearns was arrested in Kentucky in early February.

Others arrested on suspicion of DUI in 2011: Atlanta's Derek Lowe, Detroit's Miguel Cabrera, Seattle's Adam Kennedy and Oakland's Coco Crisp.
