Charlotte edges Tulsa 90-86 in overtime

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Pierria Henry led a balanced offense with 18 points as Charlotte edged Tulsa 90-86 in overtime on Thursday.



Henry's basket with 9 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 76 and Tulsa's last-second 3-point attempt was off the mark.



In overtime, Denzel Ingram hit two 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to help Charlotte (11-5, 2-1 Conference USA) edge Tulsa (7-10, 2-1). Ingram's second 3-pointer put the 49ers up 84-78 with 3:07 left.



Tulsa cut the lead to 88-86 with 2 seconds left on a dunk from Shaquille Harrison, but Ben Cherry made two free throws with a second remaining as Charlotte held on.



Henry posted nine rebounds and eight assists. Ingram scored 17 and Terrence Williams had 14. Mike Thorne Jr. had 13 points and 11 rebounds while Willie Clayton had 10.



Tulsa had two scorers post career-highs, with Harrison scoring 26 and Rashad Ray 19. James Woodard added 13.
