Cavs scrimmage: Halftime dribbles

CLEVELAND -- Random halftime dribbles from the Cavaliers' Wine & Gold scrimmage:

1. If you're watching the scrimmage, you already know this: But man oh man, what ball movement. So little dribbling, so much passing, so much fluidity and so many good shots. If this is new coach David Blatt's game plan, the offense is gonna score 114 a game.

2. Yes, it's just an intra-squad scrimmage, but LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love seem to be working extremely well together, thank you very much. Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson (the other two starters on the Wine team) look good, too. Basically, if this team is going to have chemistry issues, well, they sure aren't showing now. And we're not even a week into training camp.

3. LeBron started the game with a couple of jumpers, a couple of monster jams off the break and a Dr. J-like spin reverse in traffic. Yeah, guess that weight loss wasn't so bad, after all.

4. Mike Miller. Goodness gracious. Hitting 3-pointers from Willoughby. James leads the Wine with 13 points, but in perhaps a surprising development, Miller leads the White with 11. That includes 3-of-5 shooting on threes.

5. I also forgot about Kevin Love's outlet passes. Remarkable. In about a week, no one is even going to remember this team once drafted Andrew Wiggins with the No. 1 overall pick. True to form, Love grabbed a team-high six rebounds in about 16 minutes.

5. I'll have tons more after the game, but after two quarters of a meaningless scrimmage, I'll say this: Holy moly. This team is going places. And how's that for some expert analysis?
