Cavs rock out on tour with Boys and Girls during Black History Month
As part of the Cavaliers' annual Black Heritage Celebration presented by State Farm and in honor of Black History Month, the team will make its second stop on the "Continuing the Dream" tour at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
Cavs players Jarrett Jack, Earl Clark, Henry Sims and Carrick Felix will embark on a musical journey through time with 30 students from the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland as they tour Rock Hall exhibits highlighting African-American artists and their contributions to Rock and Roll.
The educational tour will chronicle the early influences of gospel music and rhythm and blues; the Motown era and musical renaissance in Detroit; and spotlight legendary artists such as Mahalia Jackson, Muddy Waters and Michael Jackson.
Before getting started, the students will be greeted by Rock Hall President/CEO Greg Harris and receive the museum's exclusive Black History Month Student Guide, which includes exclusive information about African-American artists from the Cleveland area.
