Cavaliers forward Kevin Love dislocated his left shoulder after getting tangled up with Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk on Sunday in Boston -- an injury that Love said was caused by "a bush-league" play by Olynyk.

"I have no doubt in my mind he did that on purpose," said Love, who played just seven minutes and scored two points before the first-quarter injury.

The Cavs won the game, 101-93, to complete the fourth four-game sweep in franchise history and advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

"Love will travel back to Cleveland with the Cavs later this afternoon and receive additional examination, imaging and evaluation at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health over the next 24 hours," team officials said in a prepared statement Sunday.

Cavs guard Iman Shumpert suffered a dislocated shoulder as a member of the Knicks on Dec. 13. After a trade to the Cavs, he was activated Jan. 23, a little more than a month after the injury occurred.

Sources told FOX Sports Ohio the Cavs' early belief is because Love's shoulder popped forward while extended, the injury may not be as serious as the one suffered by Shumpert.

Love, who left the arena with his arm in a sling, entered Sunday averaging 18.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in the first playoff appearance of his seven-year career.

"That's just not a basketball play," Love said of how the injury occurded. "The league will take a look at it and it better be swift and just."

Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas responded to Love's comments.

"We're all men here. We don't need to cry," Thomas told reporters in Boston. "It is what it is. It's playoff basketball."

Meanwhile, Cavs stars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving both agreed with Love, saying Olynyk wasn't making a "basketball play" in pulling Love's arm out of the socket.

About 40 minutes after the conclusion of the game against the Celtics, Love said the injury felt better and he's hopeful of playing in Game 1 of the second round.
