Cavs' Jack nabs 'Good Guy' award

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack has been selected as the recipient of the ninth annual Austin Carr Good Guy Award, as voted on by the Cleveland chapter of the Pro Basketball Writers Association.
Jack is a key member of the Cavs' rotation after being signed to a free-agent contract last summer. The award recognizes a Cavs player "who is cooperative and understanding of the media," according to the PBWA.
Jack is considered an important veteran voice in the locker room and is averaging 9.6 points and 4.0 assists heading into Wednesday's season-finale vs. the Brooklyn Nets. He has played in 79 of the Cavs' 81 games, including 31 starts.
The award is named after Carr, selected by the Cavs with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1971 NBA Draft. Carr is currently the analyst for FOX Sports Ohio broadcasts of Cavs games, and assists with the team's community and business development efforts.
Cavs guard C.J. Miles and forward Tristan Thompson were also nominated for the award.
