TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cardinals traded cornerback A.J. Jefferson to the Vikings on Saturday in exchange for undisclosed, conditional 2013 draft picks.
Jefferson was the odd man out at cornerback for the Cardinals, who had several players competing for roster spots and the starting job opposite Patrick Peterson. Signed as an undrafted rookie out of Fresno State in 2010, Jefferson played in all 16 games last season, the first seven as a starter. He had 67 tackles, 59 solo, with one interception.
